Real People. Real Design.
Ahhh... that feeling when that moment in time comes, when the light bulb flashes on and you say aloud "aha"! That is how a space is designed.
Many may think that inspiration for an interior designer comes from looking through design magazines and searching Houzz for hours, however inspiration can come from anywhere or anything.
The inspiration for most of my design concepts comes from you, my clients. Things like who you are, what your hobbies are, what you wear, and the work you do tells me a lot about you.
I think most people are unaware of their "personal vibe" and do not see the connection between who they are on the inside and what they reflect on the outside. Your home should tell this story or who you are.
Home is the emotional center that supports our daily lives. Your home is the only space on Earth you can call your own and make it anything you want it to be. It can be as organized, beautiful and healthy as you so please.
For me, design is taking all of these elements and translating them into a space that is both functionally and aesthetically pleasing. For each client I work with, that definition changes based on their lifestyle and desires.
So I leave you with this on this cold, rainy day in Northern Michigan as you make your way into the weekend.....
"Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love brought together under one roof" - nate berkus.
Cheers!
